Team Poppy and Sally had their last reading in English session of the year, in the «Biblioteca Mercé Rodoreda, Sant Joan Despí » and the book was the Wish Tree by Kyo Maclear. It is a beautiful winter tale, perfect for Christmas time. The children, in a circle around Poppy, talked about winter and Christmas and their wishes for 2025. They each took turns to read a section from the book in English and stopping to identify pictures and words. After the reading, they discussed what Poppy wished for and then hung on the small tree we had their own wishes. The last activity, was playing «Trixie» with Poppy, which is her favourite toy which has hiding places for treats. The kids hid her favourite yummy treats and then she had to find them. It was a fun way to finish the sessions and year.
